What’s your favorite part in prayer?
Dear Friends,
What’s your favorite part in prayer? Do you have one? You might answer, “That depends on my circumstances. Sometimes, when I’ve sinned, it’s confession. At other times where they is a pressing need it’s petition. When someone is in trouble it will be intercession.” Yes. But is there a favorite in general? With me it’s praise. It is sheer joy to think on how merciful and gracious and good and loving God has been to this old man through all these years! Today’s devotional is a praise hymn that I think we both can sing. God bless you.

Psalm 86:12 (ESV)
I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart,
and I will glorify your name forever.
O GREAT GOD
“O great God of highest heaven, occupy my lowly heart,
Own it all and reign supreme. Conquer every rebel power.
Let no vice or sin remain that resists Your holy war.
You have loved and purchased me; make me Yours forevermore.
I was blinded by my sin, had no ears to hear Your voice,
Did not know Your love within, had no taste for heaven’s joys.
Then your Spirit gave me life, opened up Your Word to me,
Through the gospel of Your Son gave me endless how and peace.
Help me now to life a life that dependent on Your grace.
Keep my heart and guard my soul from the evils that I face.
You are worthy to be praised with my every though and deed.
O great God of highest heaven, glorify Your name through me.’
