What God has not promised!
Dear Friends,
Have you ever had someone put words in your mouth that you never said and never intended to say? How does it feel? If that has happened to you you can understand how God feels when people do that to Him. Have you been one of them? Today’s devotional will explain. God bless you.
Because of Calvary,

Mark 13:7-8 (ESV)
7 And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet. 8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains.
“There are people who, in the name of Christianity, are still saying that if we only preach this message we can put an end to wars. Never! The Bible asserts that there shall be wars and rumors of wars right to the end. While man is evil and sinful and the creature of lust, there will be wars. Christianity has not come into the world to put an end to way; it has not come to reform the world. What has it come for? It has come to save us from the destruction that is coming to the world. This Book asserts a judgment, an end of history. God in Christ will judge the whole world in righteousness, sending those who have turned their backs upon Him, refused His offer of salvation in Christ, to everlasting perdition, and ushering the saints into the glory of ‘new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness’ (2 Pet. 3:13).” [David Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Knowing the Times, (Edinburgh: The Banner of Truth Trust, 1989), p.. 117]
