The saddest man you’ll ever see.
Dear Friends,
As the year comes to an end, it is time to take stock of life and see what changes one should make for 2015. One change is for men to determine that they will never become “the saddest man you’ll ever see” – the man who has lost his wife and never bothered to make close friends. Today’s devotional will explain. God bless you.
Because of Calvary,

Proverbs 18:24 (ESV)
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
“It is a myth that marriage alone can satisfy all of an individual’s emotional needs. Without friends, a wife and husband must rely totally on each other for emotional support. Many Christian marriages collapse under the weight of this impossible demand. We should not expect our wives to meet all of our emotional needs. They cannot, nor were they created to do so.” [David W. Smith, Men without Friends: A guide to Developing Lasting and Meaningful Friendships, (Nashville: Thomas Nelson Publishers, 1990), p. 131]
