The deadliest of the seven deadly sins!
Dear Friends,
There is a sin which the Bible and Christians through the ages have
called the deadliest of the seven deadly sins and yet some people are
proud that they are guilty of it (“I’ve got my pride”) and use that
pride to justify further sins. Today’s attached devotional gives its
history (beginning with Satan in heaven, continuing with Adam and Ever
and all of us, and ending in) and makes clear what God thinks of it May
God help you and me avoid it. God bless you.
Because of Calvary,

Proverbs 6:16-19 (ESV)
16 There are six things that the Lord hates,
seven that are an abomination to him:
17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked plans,
feet that make haste to run to evil,
19 a false witness who breathes out lies,
and one who sows discord among brothers.Proverbs 16:18 (ESV)
18 Pride goes before destruction,
and a haughty spirit before a fall.
“Let me give you the history of pride in three small chapters. The beginning of pride was in heaven. The continuance of pride is on earth. The end of pride is in hell. This history shows how unprofitable it is.” [Richard Newton in The Westminster Collection of Christian Quotations compiled by Martin H. Manser, (Louisville, KY: Westminster John Know Press, 2001), 299]
