David was a type of Christ. David was betrayed, Christ was betrayed. In Luke 23:46 Jesus quoted from Psalm 31 “Into your hand I commit My Spirit”. Just like David and Jesus, we will also be persecuted by our enemies, but they will not triumph! This Psalm transitions from Anguish to Assurance.
