Only Jesus would and could!
Dear Friends,
Yesterday’s devotional, that wonderful old poem “The Touch of the
Master’s Hand,” always reminds me of the attached hymn by Bill Gaither,
“He Touched Me!” I connect is with the story of Jesus and the leper.
That poor man had to wander around crying “Unclean, Unclean” so no one
would come near him for fear they too would contract that horrible
disease. No one would touch him since the disease first appeared, but
Jesus did. And He did something more. No one else could make the leper
whole, but Jesus could. Has He touched you by His Word and Spirit and is
He making you whole? God bless you.

Luke 5:12-13 (ESV)
12 While he was in one of the cities, there came a man full of leprosy. And when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged him, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.” 13 And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him.
HE TOUCHED ME
“Shackled by a heavy burden
‘Neath a load of guilt and shame
Then the hand of Jesus touched me
And now I am no longer the same
He touched me, oh He touched me
And oh the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and made me whole
Since I met this blessed Savior
Since He’s cleansed and made me whole
Oh I will never cease to praise Him (to praise)
I’ll shout it while eternity rolls
He touched me, oh He touched me
And oh the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and made me whole”
