Dear Friends,
The Bible teaches us that man is a magnificent (made in the image of God) mess (now dead in trespasses and sins). We can see his magnificence in the beautiful ideals he can dream of. Take the ideals of liberty, equality, fraternity (brotherhood) which were the ideals of the French Revolution. Then see what man’s depravity made of them – the reign of terror!

Today’s devotional shows what our depravity can do to the ideal of equality. Have you found that depravity in yourself? God bless you.

  19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these.
