Dear Friends,
It’s hard to help people because they often hide the real problem(s). The Corinthians did as today’s devotional explains. Lord bless you.
Because of Calvary,

I Corinthians 7:1-40
“…In spite of the sin in their midst. These people had the audacity to write and ask theological questions of Paul. When people come for spiritual advice, I find they very rarely mention the real root of the problem. Instead, they will ask a variety of theological questions. But it is not long, if you know anything of the art of diagnosis, before you discover that behind the whole thing there is, more often than not, tragedy. This is exactly what happened with the church at Corinth. Therefore Paul did not hurry to answer their questions…. In the first six chapters he deals with the situation that existed at Corinth. He goes right to the root of the trouble first, before he answers their theological questions.” [Alan Redpath, The Royal Route to Heaven: Studies in First Corinthians, (Old Tappan, NJ: Fleming H. Revell Company, 1960), p. 14]
