Is your faith the real deal?
Dear Friends,
In Romans 2, Paul challenges the Jewish people with their need for Christ by reminding them that though they know the truth, they fail to live it? Could something like that be said of your and me? Consider today’s devotional. God bless you.

Romans 2:24 (ESV)
For, as it is written, “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”
“Between the Christianity of this land, and the Christianity of Christ, I recognize the widest possible difference — so wide, that to receive the one as good, pure, and holy, is of necessity to reject the other as bad, corrupt and wicked…. I love the pure, peaceable, and impartial Christianity of Christ; I therefore hate the corrupt, slaveholding, women-whipping, cradle-plundering, partial and hypocritical Christianity of the land. Indeed, I can see no reason, but the most deceitful one, for calling the religion of this land Christianity.” [Frederick Douglass, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave, Written by Himself, (New York: Signet, 1845), p. 120]
