As we looked over the old year, many of us regretted how parts of it were spent. Regret is a painful emotion. Today’s devotional shows us how we may avoid experiencing it at the end of this year. It is a hymn. Take a little time to meditate on the words and the thought behind them. May it bless you through the coming year and make this year much more regret free than was the last one. God bless you.
Because of Calvary,
Romans 6:12-13 (ESV)
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. 13 Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.
ALL FOR JESUS
“All for Jesus, all for Jesus!
All my being’s ransomed powers,
All my thoughts and words and doings,
All my days and all my hours.
Let my hands perform His bidding,
Let my feet run in His ways,
Let my eyes see Jesus only,
Let my lips speak forth His praise.
Since my eyes were fixed on Jesus,
I’ve lost sight of all beside,
So enchained my spirit’s vision,
Looking at the Crucified.
Oh, what wonder! How amazing!
Jesus, glorious King of kings,
Deigns to call me His beloved,
Lets me rest beneath His wings.”
