How the three cardinal virtues work.
Dear Friends,
Do you remember what the Apostle Paul called the three cardinal virtues? They are faith, hope, and love. How do they work? Today’s devotional will give you some wonderful thoughts. God bless you.

I Corinthians 13:13
1 Corinthians 13:13 (ESV)
13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
I Corinthians 13:13
“Unseen they walk beside us every day, ―
The three, Faith, Hope, and Love;
Three comrades cheering us along the way
That leads above.
One cries: ‘Be brave; endure, as in the sight
Of him who conquered death!
He is thy shield and buckler; up, and fight!
Be brave!’ cries Faith.
And one: ‘O, hasten on; the heavenly gates
Gleam yonder, up the slope!
There to receive and crown thee Jesus waits.
Haste!’ whispers hope.
And one, ‘Hast any here besides? O bring
Them with thee; for above
Is room for all, and welcome from the King.
Bring them!’ pleads Love.
Marching and fighting thus we onward move,
With Faith for general,
With Hope for banner-bearer, and with Lord
Watching o’er all.”
