Bible, pen, sleeping bag or bed linens, pillow, bathroom stuff, towel, flash light. (Check your local weather forecast and please dress accordingly.)
Where should I go once I arrive at Victory Valley?
We will gather under the Pavilion next to the pool off of ‘Salem Bible Church Road,‘ just before 7pm. There is parking next to the Pavilion or up the hill at the Dining Hall.
Meals?
Victory Valley will provide three meals on Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast. There will be no dinner on Friday night so plan to eat before arriving.
What is the theme of the Retreat?
We live in a busy, complicated, and often difficult world. There are many “voices” that tell men how they’re supposed to be and act. But there is one voice – the word of God – that has the authority to define who we are. Faith in the gospel gives us a new identity in Christ, and living out the gospel means we are called to be different from the world. Our Men’s Retreat will explore the distinctives of being a man of God, shaped by the grace of God, under the rule of God.
Guest Speaker:
Our guest speaker for the weekend is Mark Fodale, a senior leader for Disciple Makers college ministry and highly gifted preacher and leadership trainer. Mark is a man’s man. He lives in Bethlehem, PA with his wife Shannon and is the father of four children.
What will we do?
The Retreat includes 3 days and 2 nights in the rugged cabins of Victory Valley Camp. There will be lots of time for activities, hiking, and sports along with a Saturday night campfire. Each of our main sessions will have time for prayer and worship through singing. There will also be lots of down time and fellowship with other men. If you’re looking for lots of activity, this retreat is for you. If you’re looking for some calm and rest, this retreat is for you.
I want to come but I can’t make it until Saturday, what do I do?
If at all possible, we encourage you to come for the whole weekend. If you can only come on Saturday, we still want you here! Register as normal and make your check out to Grace BFC for $65. When you arrive on Saturday, check in at the Victory Valley office and they will be able to direct you to where the Men’s Retreat is located on the camp at most any given time.
