Can’t I skip repentance?
Dear Friends,
Alas, many hope to be accepted by Christ while they ignore what He preached. They think they can keep their sins and be saved. While none of us is sinless we must all by God’s grace renounce our sins and determine to fight against them. How can one be saved from sin while he or she clings to it? Impossible, as today’s devotional shows. God bless you.
Because of Calvary,

Mark 1:15 (ESV)
and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”
“‘I thank thee, Lord, for forgiving me, but I prefer staying in the darkness: forgive me that too.’ —’No; that cannot be. The one thing that cannot be forgiven is the sin of choosing to be evil, of refusing deliverance. It is impossible to forgive that. It would be to take part in it.’” [George MacDonald: 365 Readings edited by C. S. Lewis, (New York: Macmillan Publishing Company, 1947), p. 93]
